Stained Art Glass Window Depicting Ruth

About the Item

A massive Gothic-arched brightly-colored stained glass depiction of the biblical Ruth holding a wheatsheaf in a wheat field by a stream. The image is bordered by columns supporting an elaborate crest of spires against a blue sky. Extensive use of drapery glass and plating (layering) glass to enhance the three dimensional effect. The lower panel states, To the Glory of God and in loving memory of Hattie M Myers. Only child of George A Myers 1877-1896.
